Nov 23, 2020 Duane Wilson The National Bowling Stadium in Reno is set to undergo a major remodel for the upcoming U.S. Bowling Congress Open Championships in 2020. If you've ever been there, it's a love-hate experience. Most players love the expansive interior, with 50-foot ceilings and giant score monitors, but that's about the end of the affinity. National Bowling Stadium is located in Downtown Reno. It's in a family-friendly neighborhood that travelers enjoy for top attractions such as the casino gaming and great entertainment. If you're looking for things to see and do in the area, you may want to check out Grand Sierra Resort Casino and Reno Events Center.
The only stadium of its kind in the world, the National Bowling Stadium was referred to as the 'Taj Mahal of Tenpins' by the Los Angeles Times.
Located across the street from the Reno Events Center, the stadium features 78 championship lanes, a pro shop, stadium club and theater. In addition to bowling tournaments, this facility also hosts corporate and convention parties for up to 2,000 people.
